Nonna's Spaghetti Bolognese

INGREDIENTS

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 brown onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, peeled, finely chopped
2-3 Tbsp Tweed Real Food Viva Italia Dukkah
1/3 cup tomato paste
2 cans diced tomatoes
500g beef mince
500g spaghetti
Fresh basil leaves and shaved Parmesan cheese to serve

METHOD

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook onion and carrot, stir for 5 minutes or until softened. Add mince. Cook, breaking up with a wooden spoon, for 6 to 8 minutes or until browned. 

Add Viva Italia Dukkah, tomato paste and diced tomatoes. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water until tender.

Serve with fresh basil leaves and Parmesan. Enjoy!
