BBQ Sauce With Real Ingredients, Not Just Smoke Flavour

Sweet, smoky, tangy and rich. Everything you want from a good barbecue sauce, without drowning your food in refined sugar.

Church Farm Barbecue Sauce is handmade in small batches in Northern NSW using tomatoes, fresh apple and dates, with blackstrap molasses and tamari adding that deep, savoury BBQ flavour.

But the real magic happens over the coals.

Fresh ingredients are chargrilled with homegrown lemon myrtle leaves, building layers of smoky flavour before they even make it into the bottle. The result is a rich, complex barbecue sauce that's made very differently from the mass-produced stuff.

And despite that naturally sweet, sticky BBQ flavour, it contains just 7.9g of sugar per 100g.

That's around 72% less sugar than the supermarket BBQ sauces we compared it with.

Real ingredients. Chargrilled over coals. Seriously good BBQ sauce.

What does Church Farm Barbecue Sauce taste like?
Rich, smoky, tangy and slightly sweet, with deep savoury flavour from tamari and blackstrap molasses. Chargrilling the ingredients over coals with homegrown lemon myrtle gives it an extra layer of flavour you don't get from simply adding smoke flavour to a sauce.

How much sugar does it contain?
Church Farm Barbecue Sauce contains just 7.9g of sugar per 100g. Its sweetness comes from apple, dates, coconut sugar and blackstrap molasses.

How does that compare with supermarket BBQ sauce?
The supermarket BBQ sauces we compared contain around 27–30g of sugar per 100g, while Church Farm contains just 7.9g per 100g. That's approximately 71–74% less sugar, depending on the sauce compared.

Does it contain refined sugar?
There's no refined white sugar or glucose syrup in the ingredient list. It's sweetened with apple, dates, coconut sugar and blackstrap molasses.

What makes the smoky flavour different?
Rather than relying solely on added smoky flavour, Church Farm chargrills fresh ingredients over coals with homegrown lemon myrtle leaves. It's an extra step, but it creates the deep, smoky complexity that makes this sauce special.

Is it gluten free?
It's made using gluten-free tamari and no gluten-containing ingredients are listed.

Is it vegan?
Yes. All of the listed ingredients are plant-based.

Does it contain seed oils?
There are no added oils in the ingredient list.

How many serves are in a bottle?
Each 350mL bottle contains approximately 35 x 10mL serves.

What can I use it for?
Use it as a dipping sauce, marinade, glaze or finishing sauce. It's brilliant with burgers, sausages, ribs, steak and chicken, stirred through baked beans or brushed over food before it hits the barbecue.
