Family Friendly Tacos
These family friendly tacos are delicious and simple. Tacos are a great way to get kids involved in dinner and teaching them how to cook. A great interactive dinner experience, getting the kids creative in building there own tacos. Keep these ingredients fresh and simple. These may even become a regular weekly meal, you'll have yourself a new family favourite.
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium brown onion, finely chopped
500g beef mince
1 - 2 Tbsp Tweed Real Food Fiesta Mexicana Seasoning - Limited Edition
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can of kidney beans
10 jumbo taco shells
4 large iceberg lettuce leaves, shredded
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
½ cup Sour Cream or Shredded Cheese for garnish
Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry onion for 3 minutes or until softened.
Add mince. Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up mince, for 8 minutes or until browned.
Add 1-2 Tablespoons Fiesta Mexicana Seasoning and stir, for 30 seconds or until fragrant.
Add crushed tomato and kidney beans. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
Meanwhile, heat taco shells following packet directions. Divide beef mixture evenly between taco shells.
Top with sour cream, cheese, lettuce and chopped tomato. Enjoy!
