It's the perfect summer dessert so get cracking!
Tweed Real Food
1kg apples (pink lady or granny smith), peeled and cut into 1.5cm pieces
1/2 cup sultanas
1.5 cups brown sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain, all-purpose flour
1 Tsp baking powder
½ cup melted salted butter
2 Tbsp Tweed Real Food Cookies & Crumble Baking Blend
Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.
Combine diced apple with ½ cup brown sugar, sultanas, 1.5 Tsps Cookies & Crumble Baking Blend and spread across baking dish.
For crumble topping; combine rolled oats, 1 cup of brown sugar, plain flour, baking powder, melted butter and 1.5 Tsp Cookies & Crumble Baking Blend.
Mix with fingertips to achieve a wet sand-like texture.
Bake for 35 - 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Rest for 5 - 10 minutes before serving with optional cream or vanilla icecream.
