Homemade Spaghetti and Meatballs

500g premium beef mince
1 small onion, finely diced
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp olive oil for frying
1 x 400g tin diced tomatoes
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
half a cup of fresh basil, finely chopped
*This dish is served with only a light coating of sauce. If you prefer a saucy dish, double the sauce ingredients
Boil a large pot of water and add salt, add spaghetti and cook until al-dente
Whisk egg, using your hands combine all meatball ingredients.
Using a soup spoon, scoop a spoonful of mince mixture at a time and shape into balls.
Heat olive oil over medium/high heat and fry balls, turning to seal on each side, continue frying until cooked through.
Add to spaghetti once complete with sauce
Heat fry pan to medium heat and add BBQ Master Rub.
Add oil, tomato tin and salt.
Coat cooked spaghetti with sauce and stir through fresh basil
