BBQ Master Falafel
2x400g canned chickpeas, drained
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 small red onion
2 Tbsp Tweed Real Food BBQ Master rub
1/4 cup chopped parsley
3 Tbsp plain flour
1 egg, beaten
oil, for frying
Process chickpeas, garlic, onion, parsley and BBQ Master Meat rub in a food processor until just smooth. Transfer to a bowl, add flour and egg. Shape mixture into even sized patties or balls. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm.
Heat oil in a large frying pan or heat a BBQ hotplate on medium heat. Cook falafel patties for 5 minutes each side or until golden.
Remove from heat and serve.
Tip: Serve with warm pita bread and hummus for a delicious meal or eat by themselves for an easy snack
